INSTRUCTIONS

Project Instruction:

Objective:
The objective of this assignment is to develop a comprehensive proposal for the redesign of an existing website. The proposal should demonstrate your ability to critically evaluate a website’s design and functionality, and to propose design solutions that enhance user experience, aesthetics, and performance.
 
Assignment
Description:
You are required to select an existing website which you feel has several design and UX issue and prepare a detailed proposal for its redesign. The proposal should address the following key aspects:

Website Analysis:
Current Design Evaluation: Provide a critique of the current design, focusing on layout, color scheme, typography, imagery, and overall aesthetics.
 
User Experience (UX): Assess the site’s usability, navigation, accessibility, and responsiveness. Identify pain points or areas that could be improved.
 
Functionality: Evaluate the website’s performance, including load times, interactivity, and compatibility across different devices and browsers.

Redesign Goals:

 Objectives: Clearly define the goals of the redesign (e.g., improved usability, modernized look, enhanced brand alignment).

Target Audience: Describe the intended audience for the redesigned website and how the new design will better meet their needs.
 

Design Proposal:
Visual Design Concepts: Present your ideas for the new visual design, including visual references, mood board, and wireframes. Discuss the rationale behind your design choices.

UX Enhancements:
Propose changes to improve user experience, such as simplified navigation, better content organization, or enhanced interactivity.
Technical Considerations: Outline any technical updates or changes, such as optimizing for mobile devices, or improving load times

Layout

The layout of a website significantly influences its aesthetic appeal and user experience. A well-structured layout can guide users effectively through the content, enhancing their browsing experience . The Merapi Golf Yogyakarta page features a straightforward layout, which is beneficial for user navigation. However, the layout could benefit from more strategic use of white space and object positioning to enhance visual appeal and guide the user's eye more effectively.

Color Scheme

 The current color scheme of the Merapi Golf Yogyakarta page is functional but lacks vibrancy and contrast, which could make the site more visually appealing. Incorporating a more dynamic color palette could enhance the site attractiveness and user engagement.

Typography

 The typography on the Merapi Golf Yogyakarta page is clear and legible, which is a positive aspect. However, varying font styles and sizes could be used more effectively to create a visual hierarchy and draw attention to key information.

Imagery

 The images on the website page are relevant and of good quality, but they could be better integrated into the design to boost the overall aesthetic. Using images more strategically, such as in the background or as part of the layout, could improve the visual appeal and user engagement.

Overall Aesthetics

While the Merapi Golf Yogyakarta page is functional, it could benefit from a more cohesive design approach that integrates these elements more effectively. Enhancing the visual complexity and craftsmanship of the site could lead to a more engaging and aesthetically pleasing user experience  .

In summary, while this website page is functional and user-friendly, there are opportunities to boost its aesthetic appeal through improved layout, a more vibrant color scheme, varied typography, and strategic use of imagery. These changes could lead to a more engaging and visually appealing website.

Redesign Goal :

The goal for redesigning this particular website is to make it less complex and more appealing for the customers that intended to book their next golf round. I'd make it more modern looking like the current trending website which is making the customer more attracted to check out the website.

Design Proposal 

Rationale :

I chose these websites because it has a good visualization and yet really simple. It also has a simple color palette to it and easy navigation for user to see, the website has a modern look boost the user to keep scrolling through without any hard time. My goal is to make the user feel good and incredible experience when they use the website with ease and without any issue. And managing the website across all platform is my main goal with quick and responsive website. 

Enhancement to the website:

• Better visual for user satisfaction
• Easier shortcut
• Easy to use in different devices
• Matching the color palette
• Improving user accessibility
• Smooth load time

   With better visual design and placement of an image it can cause the user satisfaction, with fast loading time. And using the right color palette for the main page of this design is really important, with simple yet elegant color it can the user that we put a lot of effort on this website for their satisfaction. Easy to book a course without any confusion and smooth load in a lot of different devices.
