Reflections

Experience

Over the past 14 weeks, the Typography class has been a fascinating journey into the intricacies of type design. From fundamental principles to hands-on projects, the course has deepened my understanding of the art and science of typography, honing my skills and fostering a keen eye for typographic details.

Observation

A highlight of the class was the exploration of the rich history and evolution of typefaces. Studying the work of iconic typographers and engaging in critique sessions sharpened my critical thinking skills, contributing to a more discerning taste in typographic choices.

Findings

Reflecting on the Typography class, I see it as a transformative experience that goes beyond technical skills. It has shaped my design sensibilities, emphasizing the importance of typography as a visual language. The exposure to contemporary trends and experimental design has sparked my curiosity to push the boundaries of conventional typography in future projects.
